Nominations For Worst dressed Stars At Awards 2016

Recently, two award nights 4th Hum Awards and ARY Films Awards 2016 (AFA16) have been held. Celebrities, artists, filmmakers, sponsors, important media, government and business personalities were there at the occasion.

Award functions are usually facilitated gathering of all names of an industry under one roof ranging from veterans to struggling artists. The realm along with the grace, sophistication, apparels, gentility of celebrities, all in all is the reflection of an industry.

Unfortunately, this year red carpet has witnessed some unpardonable fashion crimes. Many celebs have failed to realize that their devastating fashion sense has given an electric shock of 440 volts, not only to me but almost to all the fashion enthusiasts. Celebrities are often criticized for committing fashion blunders around the globe but man....! It was a complete disaster.
The most riotous thing for me was the inappropriate perception about the decorum of the event. People!  For God sake, it is an award night not your “Khalaa G ka Walima”. We understand you want to flaunt shimmer on and off the red carpet, after all you are a star but please, this time you have got it horribly wrong. Another farcical thing was the use of “Jamawaar” & “Silk” in abundance. Yah! Yah! I know our designers are smart enough and know how to create a “BUDGETARY DESIGNER WEAR” equipped with all “CHUM CHUM” and cost cutting techniques. But this time, it was too much. It seems it was some sort of aggressive revenge.

Check out some of the celebs who were spotted in hilarious outfits. They will surely make you feel better about your fashion choices!

At the end of the post I want to clear that the purpose of this post is not to criticize or disgrace any designer. I just want to emphasize on the importance of fashion etiquette. These stars are representative of our industry, at least they should not be caused of such fashion blasphemy. It is the need of the hour to understand the importance of decency. It is not cool to be a "Namona" in order to be unique. the only demand is "If you are a star, then look like a star". What do you think?

  2. Again this is very well written and spot on, believe me. The captions are so hilarious, and I was laughing till my stomach hurts. Apart from fun factor, this is so true that these stars are the ambassadors of nation. They should realize their responsibility. Great post.

  4. You've hit the nail on the head, these stars really need to have a fashion sense. It seems like different pieces have been switched together in the name of a dress. Why do not they represent our culture and traditions, why do they like to appear so western, these questions gnaw at me every time I come upon such Hi-fi Pakistani events. I loathed Ayesha Omar's dress. Such a great post and your statements really gave me a merry time. :)

    Chaste & Beautiful
