Wafa Ka Mosam - A Clash Between Love & Ego

Just like a tradition, the slot of 8 to 9 pm has been specified for drama since ages. Seven days, seven drams, sitcoms, comedy plays, short films thus production houses, directors and producers have no time to stop for a while and think about the quality of content. Sorry to say, but do you think the material is being telecasting on channels 27/4 could be termed as entertainment? 

If you have watched the dramas of 80’s and 90’s and even in the early 2000’s; the quality of content was far better. The work done at that time was superior with strong stories, meaningful characters, well written scripts and power pack performances. The increasing number of drama is resulted into soulless projects. Now a days, dramas have lost that charm and quality that used to be the recognition of our drama industry.  

Recently TVOnePK has launched a drama serial titled “Wafa Ka Mausam”. The drama features actors like Aijaz Aslam, Neelam Munir, Haya, Shafqat Cheema and Adnan Jeelani.

Basically it is a love story, highlighting the difference between love and unconditional love. Sometimes love demands great sacrifices and what happens in such situation; this is what “Wafa Ka Mosam” is all about. The drama is shot in interior of Punjab. The story revolves around a girl named Komal. Komal, daughter of rich parents starts liking a common person Dara during a visit of a village. This situation is troublesome for her parents; thus they refuse to accept this. Long story short, WKM highlights how ego of someone adversely effects the lives of people around him. 

  

The first two episodes of drama are enough to understand the storyline completely. Story is quite predictable; there is nothing new thus lacks uniqueness. Somehow it feels that Neelam Munir should focus on her acting skills a little more. Let’s see if Wafa Ka Mausam attracts the audiences or it is just like the every other drama, being telecasting for no reason.
