Urban Cafe; The Perfect Place To Dine In

Last week, I was at Urban Café for a dinner, courtesy of Kluchit & Cybus Digi. Basically it was a food testing where foodies, socialists and bloggers were invited to enjoy the scrumptious food of Urban Café and the company of each other. A four course meal was served to everyone and undoubtedly it was flavorsome.
When someone goes out to a restaurant for a meal, he/she goes for the full experience, not just for the food itself. It makes the ambience the most important aspect. It is when thinking of relaxing over a meal, a peaceful environ is required. Personally, I don’t like congested sitting areas and always prefer spacious restaurants as peace of mind and calmness is something I seek for, of course along with appetizing food.

As far Urban Café is concerned the capacious restaurant is divided into three halls, with high ceiling and an artistic interior. All three halls are spacious and an elegant theme is created with the help of mainly orange and a little brown shade along with frames of Hollywood movies. Overall Urban Café is a perfect place to visit in terms of ambiance.

Let’s talk about the food now. Unfortunately I was little late, credit goes to traffic as Lahore has been too crowded now a days. Well as soon I reached there Mehwish Durrani the representative of Kluchit and the beautiful host of the evening greeted me warmly. She introduced me with everyone presented there. After introduction, it was time to focus on food. The hot and sour soup was served as starter. It was hot, tasty and just perfect as par the weather.

I am someone who eats in smaller portions with intervals. In order to keep the space for the other three courses, I didn’t take the soup till the end. As soon I requested to clear the table, the efficient staff served Maxican Salad within a minute. Man! Salad is my weakness, something that I can eat as main course (I know it sounds insane but that how it is). As main course and dessert were waiting to be eaten, I had to stop myself (Isn’t it sad) despite of the fact it was too good.

Now it’s time to discuss main course. There were two types of main courses Fettuccine Pasta and Chicken Chili Thai. I decided to go with Chicken Chili Thai. Even though Fettuccine Pasta was a treat to eyes but I had to select one. Thanks to my limited appetite. Any how I am going to visit Urban Café again to try Fettuccine Pasta really soon and definitely will share the review with you guys.

Coming back to Chicken Chili Thai. It was tempting foodstuff with a strong flavor. Presentation was up to the mark. I felt it was little spicy but what else you could expect from a dish having chili as main ingredient. Though the quantity of the rice was slightly less as compared to the chicken served with it but no need to be worried. Here I am with the solution. When you will order Chicken Chili Thai, don’t forget to enjoy the starters till the end. Possibility is there that Urban Café would increase the quantity of rice after checking out my review. Who knows? In that case you may thank me enough by writing comments under this post. I won’t mind at all.

Last but not the least, the dessert, British sticky toffee pudding served with ice-cream. Honestly, it was a feast to eyes. It was soft, spongy and yummy but still has room for improvement as it was too sweet. I know what else you could expect from a dessert but sweetness. Hence the right amount of sugariness is what I am talking about. Despite of too much sweetness, this dessert was worth trying.
The quantity of desserts was way too much. It’s like one is enough for three persons. Its goes to café as they are serving for three in price of one. Final verdict in one word "delicious”.

In my opinion, Urban Café is a place every foodie should visit once; as I know the scrumptious food & awesome ambiance would drag you again and again afterwards.
