Just like a tradition, the slot of 8 to 9 pm has been specified for drama since ages. Seven days, seven drams, sitcoms, comedy plays, short films thus production houses, directors and producers have no time to stop for a while and think about the quality of content. Sorry to say, but do you think the material is being telecasting on channels 27/4 could be termed as entertainment? 

If you have watched the dramas of 80’s and 90’s and even in the early 2000’s; the quality of content was far better. The work done at that time was superior with strong stories, meaningful characters, well written scripts and power pack performances. The increasing number of drama is resulted into soulless projects. Now a days, dramas have lost that charm and quality that used to be the recognition of our drama industry.

It may be the accurate definition of cricket for rest of the world but in South Asia, especially in Pakistan there is one general definition “Cricket is love”. That’s it. Yes cricket is in the blood of this nation, in fact it is a part of genes now.

What would a two year old boy ask as his birthday present? Yes!!!! A bat and a ball. The favorite sport of nation? Its cricket. What do 80% of boys watch on TV? Of course cricket. In short cricket is the reason for living.

I eat less, in small portions and only that cuisines that really appeal me. Last week, I was at Urban Café for a dinner, courtesy of Kluchit & Cybus Digi. Basically it was a food testing where foodies, socialists and bloggers were invited to enjoy the scrumptious food of Urban Café and the company of each other. A four course meal was served to everyone and undoubtedly it was flavorsome. 

When someone goes out to a restaurant for a meal, he/she goes for the full experience, not just for the food itself. It makes the ambience the most important aspect. It is when thinking of relaxing over a meal, a peaceful environ is required. Personally, I don’t like congested sitting areas and always prefer spacious restaurants as peace of mind and calmness is something I seek for, of course along with appetizing food.

At first you will not realize it but slowly and gradually it will totally consume you. If we state that “Dobara Phir Se” has set a benchmark for Pakistani drama genre movies it won’t be so wrong.

Sensibility, decency and a mature approach that is what “Dobara Phir Se” is all about. Mehreen Jabbar took a story which is not so unique apparently, it is simple and complex simultaneously, just the way life is used to be but there are diminutive moments to feel.
